Terms and Conditions
Booking and Rescheduling:Hit the Books arranges the tutoring sessions based on the availability of the student(s) provided in their registration form, or in the email(s) that the student(s) send to Hit the Books. Rescheduling is restricted. Any request for changing the date and/or time of a tutoring session will be considered a rescheduling, only if the student(s) inform Hit the Books 24 hours prior to the sessions on weekdays, 48 hours for weekend sessions and by 6:00 PM of the previous Friday for Monday sessions, and receives a confirmation by email. Two free rescheduling options are included in the U12, TSU12, UA12, L12, GE18 and GE12 Registration Packages and only one free rescheduling is included in the U8, TSU8, UA8, L8 and GE8 Registration Packages. Regular complete charges will apply for the sessions, if the student(s) cancel(s) or ask(s) for a rescheduling with a short notice of less than 24 hours prior to the sessions on weekdays, 48 hours for weekend sessions, and by 6:00 PM of the previous Friday for Monday sessions. In case of extra rescheduling not included in a package, an admin fee of $9.50 will apply for any rescheduling.
Registration Packages and Tutoring Sessions:
Each registration package is for one course only, and within one academic semester. Tutoring sessions are 2 hours each. There will be refund neither for registration packages nor for trial sessions, unless Hit the Books cancels a registration or a trial session, due to internal affairs, such as lack of appropriate tutor(s). In case of cancellation of a registration package or a trial session by the student(s), Hit the Books may or may not offer the student(s) certain credit(s) that can be used for any other courses or registration packages offered by Hit the Books within the same academic year. Administration fees and other restrictions may apply. GST and QST taxes will be added to the rates of the tutoring sessions offered at Hit the Books, while there will be no taxes for High School tutorials.
